Records are a very important aspect of Rabbitries, in fact, they are what makes a normal rabbitry a good rabbitry. Without records, you cannot prove what your rabbits are, you may have three generation Grand Champion rabbits who have won BIS in every show they've shown in, but without records, they are no better than a rabbit who has no pedigree and has gotten last place in every class they've shown in. Here are some record sheets that might help you. They can be copied and pasted into Microsoft Word or a similar program, then printed out and filled out. Click on the name to go to the page. Hopefully soon we will have a higher quality Adobe page in adition to the HTML pages.

Facilities and Equipment Inventory - Keeping inventory of your rabbitry is important, for insurance claims in case of disaster or theft, but also important to you. You know you had some ceramic crocks a while ago...but where could they be? Go look at your inventory, and see that some broke, and some you gave away to a new rabbit owner, and you sold a few.

Rabbit Inventory - One of the most important things, after all, if you have no idea what rabbits you have, what's the point? These will help you determine how much you bought a rabbit for, how much it is worth and will help when you are ready to sell that rabbit.

Operating Expenses - Not exactly fun to keep track of, but it must be done! This is also important to keep track of everything you spend, except feed, which has it's own record (below) this is to keep track of all of your spending.

Feed Expense Record - Ditto above, but with food. Are you spending too much? Check under your cages, are your rabbits spilling lots of food? It may be expensive to buy quality crocks or J-feeders, but you will probaly make up for it in your feed bill!

Income - If Operating Expenses isn't fun, this is! Keep track of what money you make, hopefully this is more than your expenses.

Profit or Loss Statement - The big moment, are your expenses bigger than your income giving you a loss, or do you have a nice profit?

Breeding Records (Buck and Doe) - When do those nest boxes go in again? I don't know when that doe is due! If you have said the above things, print this out and USE IT! It will help, trust me!

Rabbit Show Record - Ah, the ever important and ever popular show records! It will be a lot easier to evaluate a rabbit if you have all the results from shows together in one place.

Pedigree - Pretty self-explanatory, these are crucial to recording whether the animal is pure, what colours are in it's background, and for ARBA registration.
